Countryside Community Church is a Relay Center for the Samaritans’ Purse Operation Christmas Child. The national collection week for shoeboxes this year is November 15th - 22nd. For information about OCC in your area please contact the church office (if the office is closed please leave a message on line 2 and someone will return your call.)
In 1993 Operation Christmas Child was launched by Samaritan’s Purse and 28,000 shoeboxes were delivered to children in war torn Bosnia and lives were changed with this simple gift. Since then more the 57 million shoe boxes have been delivered to boys and girls in over 120 countries and millions have come to faith in Jesus Christ. Along with the shoeboxes the children are given "The greatest gift of all" an illustrated Gospel storybook in their own language. Then local churches invite the children to participate in a discipleship follow-up program. This simple shoe box has often been the catalyst that brings whole villages to salvation in Jesus Christ.
